Hearing From God?? Are you?

Lately I have seen and hear some things concerning "How to hear God's Voice." and I have some comments on this.
But first lets look at the final authority:God's word......The bible is always the Final Authority.
Acts 4:24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them,
Job 38:4 “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding.
Job 38:5 Who determined its measurements-surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?
Matt 16:23 But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”
Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Deut 10:12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
Job 28:28 And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
Ps 111:10 the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.

Here is my point: God is the Almighty,Creator of Heaven and Earth and He is Sovereign and in
Isa 55:9 For high have the heavens been above the earth, So high have been My ways above your ways, And My thoughts above your thoughts.God's awesome ways and His wonderful thoughts! Praise God!
When we start to bring God into the human arena, our ways and our thoughts and we begin to look as if we are on equal ground with God we lose our awe, reverence of God and that is not a good place for us to be.
Yes as Followers of Christ we can have the mind of Christ but that doesn't give us the right to tell God how, what and or when He should speak to us or what we will or will not do.God knows beyond any comprehension of ours how, what and when He chose's to use us or mold us how He wants.
Now I believe it is a dangerous practice to think that we have it all under control when it comes to the spiritual realm and all it takes is a simple formula to get to a place where we will hear from God because as the bible states: 1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Just because we "hear" from a spirit and we think it speaks from God and we go about following or allowing such spirit into ourselves we can be lead astray, into deception. Remember that Lucifer spoke to Eve this:
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said to the woman: No, you shall not die the death.
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in what day soever you shall eat thereof, your eyes shall be opened: and you shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil.
And sin then entered the human race......
Now I am not saying we can't hear from God or there is just one special way to receive, what I am saying is that if God speaks it will always line up with His Word Old Testament and New Testament 100% and when you hear from God He will deal with you in a unique way, personal way and you don't tell Him when and you don't pray a special way to assure success because we can think we can do it that way but God is always in control and He always has a Plan. And He may decide to speak to you in the shower,on the toilet,in your car stuck in traffic, anyway or anytime that's what I am saying.

Ps 95:1 Come! Let’s sing for joy to the LORD! Let’s shout out praises to our protector who delivers us!
Ps 95:2 Let’s enter his presence with thanksgiving! Let’s shout out to him in celebration!
Ps 95:3 For the LORD is a great God, a great king who is superior to all gods.
Ps 95:4 The depths of the earth are in his hand, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
Ps 95:5 The sea is his, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land.
Ps 95:6 Come! Let’s bow down and worship! Let’s kneel before the LORD, our creator!
Ps 95:7 For he is our God; we are the people of his pasture, the sheep he owns. Today, if only you would obey him!
Ps 95:8 He says, “Do not be stubborn like they were at Meribah, like they were that day at Massah in the wilderness,
Ps 95:9 where your ancestors challenged my authority, and tried my patience, even though they had seen my work.
Ps 95:10 For forty years I was continually disgusted with that generation, and I said, ‘These people desire to go astray; they do not obey my commands.’
Ps 95:11 So I made a vow in my anger, ‘They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’”
